In consciousness there are important times when energy opens up and shifts to empower you to be and become all you are meant to be.

We are in one of those important times now.

Taking the Next Step in Consciousness

During these important times humankind, as a whole, can choose to refresh and realign with Divine Purpose and the Divine Plan.

I believe this happens when humanity as a whole, and humankind as a group, has made enough progress on a planetary level to take the next positive step in consciousness.

Many believe this usually happens in concert with, and alignment with, cosmic beings who are beyond the scope and awareness of those of us who walk the world.

Since this takes place as a shift in energies, it is subtle, but that does not mean it is not significant.

The evolution of human consciousness as a consciousness happens at all levels of what makes up human life, a physical and material body, an astral emotional body, an enlightened mental body, and a Soul infused by Light.

This progress, this shift is the result of the work and the will of exalted beings such as the Christ and the Buddha who have since the 1930’s and the end of WW II been working with humanity through what is known in esoteric circles as The New Group of World Servers.

New Group of World Servers

This is a group that works to invoke and empower goodwill into the world.
Their connection is spiritual and cosmic, but not religious in any organized sense of the known religions of the world.

The men and women of goodwill who make up this planetary group may be and often are completely aware, or unaware and unconscious, of their work or mission in the world.

Men and women of goodwill are the significant force behind what Dr. Martin Luther King described when he observed “the long arc of history works toward justice.”

The forces for good and goodwill in the world move human consciousness and thus society through the march of history and there can be change and transformation.

The New Group of World Servers have over the past 70-80 years both consciously and unconsciously joined in this world mission to invoke and infuse the consciousness of humanity with goodwill.

Many of those who are consciously committed to this work have joined around the world whenever and wherever it has reached 5 p.m. local time by saying The Blessing of The New Group of World Servers Invocation:

The Blessing of the New Group of World Servers

May the power of the One Life,
pour through the group of all true servers.

May the Love of the One Soul,
characterize the lives of all who seek to aid the Great Ones.

May we fulfill our part in the One work,
through self-forgetfulness, harmlessness, and right speech.

I believe this conscious work by disciples around the world who work for good and goodwill has resulted in all of humanity being granted a shift in consciousness.

You can choose to join this purpose by simply saying this blessing at 5 p.m. wherever you are in the world.

It isn’t hard to do. It requires no dogma, doctrine or belief. It is simply supporting and empowering goodwill in the world.

How to Support Changes in Consciousness

You can further support this work in the world by reflecting upon and in your life embodying the principles of self-forgetfulness, harmlessness, and right speech.

Amazingly, the energetic shift in human consciousness that accompanied this last Taurus Full Moon Wesak Festival this year makes it a little easier to practice those positive universal principles.

You might want to spend some time considering how those principles, when practiced and incorporated into your daily life, will help to make the world a better place.

I take comfort and assurance in realizing that we are not alone in the work of the evolution of consciousness. I am comforted and supported by my awareness of exalted beings who are aligned with the Divine Plan and Purpose for this planet and this people in the world.

We are told in the Ancient Wisdom that the cosmic shift in the consciousness of the whole universe is Love. That makes our role as human beings to learn how to “Give Love, Live Love and Be Love” of paramount importance.

It has also been foretold in the most ancient annals of esoteric mysteries that we on planet earth will come to a time when “The lion lies down with the lamb.”

That requires the infusion of Love and the installation of Peace into the material and physical world that is our world.

That is the work of cosmic beings who are aligned with the Divine Plan. We, as humanity are but one small part of this plan, but we are an important part.

Steps forward in the evolution of the consciousness of humanity are profoundly important because you, as part of humanity, serve as a bridge between the world of spirit and the world of matter.

You, as a human being, have been since the first moment of creation granted not only your physical nature and being, but also a spiritual nature and being with a spark of Divine Light that I believe is our Soul.

Take a moment and allow the following mantrum to connect with you as a disciple on the path. As Alice A. Bailey states, “take your place with those who perceive the needs of the coming cycle–a cycle wherein the new ideas and ideals must be stressed and for which a fight must be made, wherein the wider plans for the good of the whole must be understood, endorsed and preached, the new and clearer vision for human living must be grasped and finally brought into being, and a cycle wherein the effort of all members of the New Group of World Servers must be given to the lifting of humanity’s load.”

That makes humanity and most particularly human consciousness important.
Infusing, inviting, and ultimately embodying Love is the task for which you were created.

God didn’t make a mistake. Since the dawn of creation, He has sent teachers, guides, and avatars to enlighten all of us. Many of those He sent were misunderstood and misinterpreted by their human followers for such is the consciousness of matter.

You, as part of humanity, are also supported by the angelic kingdom in this venture. You are supported by the consciousness and continuity of each and every avatar, world teacher, and guide who has ever walked the earth. They have not left us or deserted us, and they remain engaged in the insights and evolution of your consciousness through the mechanism of the spark of Divine Light that embodies your Soul.

You can engage, invite, and invoke Their ongoing presence and guidance through prayer, meditation, and contemplation.

Love and Right Relations Are the Keys
to Transformations in Consciousness

You can join with like-minded individuals, but it is significant to remember that “loving one another” is to be a guiding Light.

Fortunately, when you connect with your Soul, you will find its nature is Love.

When you connect with the angels, you will find their nature and essence is Love, and when you connect with any and all of the world teachers, guides and avatars that have ever come to Earth you find the essence of Love for the very nature and being of God is Love.

You are invited and encouraged to join with the New Group of World Servers by participating in the Blessing of the New Group of World Servers world service at 5 p.m. each day.

It takes less than a minute of the day but grants a brief shift in consciousness and awareness that leaves behind a sense of hope and promise and reminds you that you are not alone but are supported by divine and cosmic forces that are working with you to bring Love and Light and what is good into the world.

You can join in this work in the world, in bringing into manifestation the divine plan for humanity by considering and living by the principles of harmlessness. You can be a part of this divine and cosmic transformation by activating in your communications and words the principle of “Right Speech”.

Your focus and action in living in “Right Relationship” with others helps to forward not only you but all of humankind in activation and fulfillment of the divine plan.

Harmlessness and Right Speech are just rules of the road to help you live a happy and successful life. Therefore, I suggest that you consider your actions and your speech in light of these principles and then observe how much happier and more successful you become.

Plato is said to have recommended this test to consider before you speak.
Is it true? Is it kind? Is it beneficial?

What you do matters… How you act matters… If you demonstrate the Laws of Love by unconditionally loving another you are empowering and invoking goodwill in the world.

Please don’t forget that Goodwill is contagious, and once set in motion it will permeate the world consciousness so that right human relations can be more rapidly established.

NOW is the time to step up and transform the world through “Right Action”.

Let Love be your guide. You, me, and all of humanity stand on the precipice of making the world a better place.

What Are We Going To Do…
To Make This World A Better Place

Across the world and across the nations, we humans are going through a challenge of a world pandemic. You may have been required to stop and stay home in order to save lives. And in the midst of this, it is evident that the life you save may be your own or a loved one.

This disruption of life as we knew it has been difficult for everyone. The need for isolation is unnatural for all of us. Human beings are social creatures. Being alone, especially for long periods, is not what we value. This unprecedented period with the need to stay isolated and stay at home has interrupted and interfered with how things have always been.

That has been combined with a worldwide death toll that is staggering. It had caused a commercial shut down that before this happened would have been unimaginable. We are all shocked and amazed by the photos of New York’s Time Square virtually empty of cars and people. The Plazas of Italy shown on newsreels without the masses of people we have always seen are stunning. Everywhere we look in photographs from all around the world, we see a different world, a changing world.

And this pandemic is far from over. One by one, community by community governments are considering when commerce can open again and how we can return to business without sending this pandemic on another deadly rampage resulting in even more death and destruction than we have already seen.

The daily death tolls, country by country, state, or providence by state, city by city, has been staggering. The impact on the consciousness of people even if they are sheltered and are safe at home, is a strain. The fact that people are dying impacts people on an empathic level. That is something for which no one was prepared.

What We Do Affects One Another

This world event is bringing to the awareness of the people of the world truths that may have circulated in the mythos of consciousness but was never really believed. Concepts such as the unity of humanity have entered the collective consciousness as this virus has swept the world unlimited by borders or the ways we have divided our identities to separate us from one another.

The unprecedented shut down of the world’s economic engine has had some unexpected consequences. We are now aware that there is no place we can go to the world that is protected or safe from this Coronavirus. It brings to the attention of everyone, everywhere that this planet that we share is truly shared. We are one humanity, whether we like it or not.

This truth, this reality, in light of this world pandemic, has brought to consciousness, in a way that seems to be a call to the consciousness of humanity, to create a better world to find a better way to relate and interact with one another that makes the world work for everyone. If there is an inescapable lesson that this Coronavirus has taught the world, it is that what we do affects one another.

This lesson comes at a death toll that is continuing to rise daily that is entirely global and is not even close to being finished. The Coronavirus is a stern taskmaster, and what we as humans are learning is just the beginning.

As a student of life, and one who regularly considers the issues of consciousness and right human relationships; I find it interesting that this world pandemic, that has closed the doors of commerce, occurs at a time in human history where our careless disregard for this planet that we share is concurrent with warnings that if we do not change our ways, in perhaps dramatic ways or certainly in significant ways we are in danger of making the world uninhabitable.

The scientist has been giving us timelines to the destruction that is known to every government everywhere as humanity continues to operate in ways that are destructive to the environment. People across the planet observe that the climate is changing in dramatic ways. But greed and irresponsibility turn the gears of world commerce, and until this world pandemic of the Coronavirus, nothing has successfully slowed them, let along stopped them.

The clearing and cleaning of the air, from places as diverse as Los Angeles to Beijing, is noteworthy. Of course, the clearance of the air or the cleaning of polluted waters and oceans is only a brief respite. For our Mother Earth, we must take this world pause and learn from it. We must consider how to put the world commerce back together in a way that is better than it was before this world crisis.

The Coronavirus Pandemic is giving humanity and the planet a unique opportunity. It is teaching us valuable life lessons. It is pointing out and revealing fundamental unfairness and inequities that we as humanity, governments, and individuals must decide if we are going to change or let stand. These issues have come into our aggregate consciousness partially by the rising of our internal Soul awareness of what is right and what is wrong facilitated by the time and space and silence of contemplation.

Some of this new awareness, revelation, and consideration can be seen in the posts of social media. The worldwide communication network has in this time of an isolation crisis allowed humanity to consider global rights and wrongs in a way that, like the closing down of the wheels of much of world commerce, is unprecedented.

Allow Silence to Bring You Soul Awareness

When you stop and allow silence to bring to your awareness the wisdom of your Soul, your heart, and mind you expand to enable new insights and new possibilities. In response to the enforced silence of the busyness and noise of the world, people are, around the globe and certainly across social media pondering and expressing observations about what is right and what is wrong in the world.

From the very moment of birth, there is within each of us an archetypal and indelible sense of right and wrong. There is an inner arbiter of truth that we recognize as the still and silent voice of your Soul. Throughout time meditation and contemplation have been the portals of consciousness into that awareness. That we, as the people of the earth, the group of humanity as a whole are finding within this world moment thoughts about fairness and injustice in our collective consciousness is appropriate to this world moment.

Make This World A Better Place

When the Coronavirus slammed the brakes on the world as we knew it, forty-two million people, or 0.8 percent of the world’s population, have net worths in excess of $1 million. That group — roughly the global 1 percent — controls 44.8 percent of the world’s wealth. So it really is true that a pretty small number of people control nearly half the world’s wealth. (as of Jan 22, 2019, per Oxfam International.)

That is a fact that has been incorporated into “folk wisdom”. It has become common to refer to that as the difference between the 1% ers, vs. the 99%. That is the way the world has been. But I ask you, is that the way you want the world to be?

Is that what you believe is fair? Is that a demonstration of right action and right relationship between people? Does that resonate within your heart, and your mind and your Soul as you sit in the silence of this time of isolation and consider the re-establishing of society that needs to happen for the world economy to start running again?

We are being given an unprecedented opportunity to create a world that is better, a world that is different.

We know this. We post about it on social media. We create memes about it. We ask these questions.

I ask you what are we going to do to make this world a better place? Ultimately all governments draw their consent from the governed.

This was a central principle of the Declaration of Independence as written by Thomas Jefferson and revised and reaffirmed by the founding fathers of the United States of America. It is the basic principle of the Bill of Rights that are the enumerated rights of America. But more than being founding principles of the United States of America, they have entered the collective consciousness of the whole of humanity in the over 200 years the United States has existed.

People all around the world use that concept to create changes in their government. And, at this world moment of the Coronavirus crisis, it is this principle that will be used to transform the world that emerges to make this world a better world than it was when we, the people of planet earth, went home to save our lives.

I believe we are being given an unprecedented opportunity to save the planet and to transform society. I am asking you to consider how and what we need to change to create a better world.

I am asking you to take advantage of the time of enforced isolation to meditate, contemplate, and consider what that world would look like? What needs to change? What violates the wisdom of your Soul? What screams out to you as wrong and unfair. You are a citizen of this world. The wanton disregard of the planet affects you, your health, your safety, and the health and safety of your children and your grandchildren.

You have the power and indeed the responsibility to consider these issues and then to send out to the world your insights, impressions, and revelations to enhance and empower transformation in the world.

The world will change from this Coronavirus crisis. Change in life is inevitable. Your engaging in the possibilities of change is empowering. I believe you were created as a co-creator with the Divine.

Universal Brotherhood and
the Oneness of Humanity

This article is part of my ongoing series on Oneness and Group Consciousness.

There is in the world, and indeed even the Universe, a sacred principle that is a deep truth about who you are, and how things function.

Although this truth has been a part of every spiritual path explored over the history of human consciousness, it remains a principle with which humanity seems to have a struggle. That is the understanding of Brotherhood and of Unity.

In today’s climate of unrest understanding brotherhood and unity is even more important to everyone’s evolution.

The universal brotherhood of man is our most precious possession, what there is of it.
– Mark Twain

What is Brotherhood

The Oxford Dictionary defines it as an association, society, or community of people linked by a common interest, religion, or trade.

The simple meaning of the Universal Brotherhood of Mankind is the belief, feeling, or hope that all (wo)men should regard and treat one another as brothers and sisters.

On a higher level, according to theosophist E.A. Neresheimer,

In the process of evolution, humanity has differentiated from the great homogeneous ocean of consciousness in order that the soul may gain experience in matter; being now on the outer circle of manifestation, it appears to be apart, but it is destined in its natural course to return to the primal unity from whence it came.

The thread which has spun itself out from unity into differentiation connects each individual with the parent source, and through it with all else; and the innate qualities of the soul — Love, Sympathy, and Charity — are the manifestations thereof in man; these reside in the Heart.

According to the Esoteric Philosophy, the race has fortunately reached the outermost stage of realization of separateness, the time is at hand for the ascent on the return arc, the pendulum is swinging back and will bring with it an awakening towards spirituality. A psychic wave has already begun to sweep over the globe; in its course, it will rouse the latent spiritual faculties of mankind and develop intuition to a degree that will cause great changes in the Social Economy and produce a realization of our birthright, ‘The Universal Brotherhood of Man.’”

An understanding of this Universal Brotherhood of Mankind principle has been expressed and taught by every spiritual teacher and is an essential element in every spiritual path across many diverse cultures and religions practiced over thousands of years.

Helena Blavatsky talks about, in the Secret Doctrine Book 2 – Part 3, the Law of laws is the Law of Brotherhood — Alaya. Its unity extends beyond the human kingdom and enfolds bird and beast, shrub and tree, metal and stone, all the invisible elemental kingdoms of nature-spirits, and fairies, collective hosts of archangels, shining ones and devas, and the crown of them all — Perfected Man, Mahatmas, Buddhas, Dhyanis.

Within this principle is an understanding of how life works, and even more significantly, how we, as humankind, are created to work together.

The Principles of Brotherhood
Have Been Passed Down for Century’s

Sadly, the frequent failure of humanity to incorporate the principles of Brotherhood and the Oneness of Humanity into its interactions results in widespread sorrow and suffering. This is a condition that it is within the power of humanity to solve and resolve.

The failure to demonstrate the Brotherhood in human relationships and interactions leads to wars and holds back the kinds of international cooperation that could create abundance and prosperity across the world.

From the ancient days of the history of humanity throughout every world religion and spiritual practice, the concept of Brotherhood is integral, and our Unity and Oneness with one another is interwoven.

Within the concept of Brotherhood and understanding of the unity of all of humanity lies incredible power. That is why, throughout time, the principle of Brotherhood has been woven through every religion on earth. These enlightened beings formed the central religious teachings of a vast and diverse array of paths to right human relationships. They also focus on right human interactions, teach Brotherhood, and encourage an awareness of the Oneness of Humanity.

Over 5,000 years ago, this principle of Unity and Brotherhood was revealed by Arjuna on the battlefield as in the spiritual teachings of the Bhagavad Gita that guide the Hindi religion. This vital principle was demonstrated when Arjuna had the revelation “I can no longer war against myself.”

The importance of learning brotherhood is integral to the development of Buddhism as monks live and work together in monasteries throughout the world. In fact, the Brotherhood of Monks is the oldest religious brotherhood in the world; it was founded by the Buddha about 2,500 years ago and continues to exist to this day.

Certainly, Brotherhood is a central principle in Christianity when Jesus told his followers in Matthew: 24-41 “to the least of these my brethren.”

Brotherhood is not only based on faith, but it is also a part of that faith. The Prophet Mohamad said, “You cannot enter paradise unless you become a total believer, and you won’t become a total believer unless you love each other.“ Faith and community are inseparable in the faith community in Islam. Even an occasional reader of the Quran would note that it always addresses the Believers, not the Believer. All acts of worship that are declared pillars of Islam have a collective form that shows the importance of Brotherhood.

Likewise, there is the very ancient teaching of the code of Hammurabi that became a pillar of all lessons about ethics. This became known as the Golden Rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.“

Without turning this article into a 100,000-page book on religious scholarship, I think it is right to say that within every world religion, brotherhood, and the Oneness of Humanity is integral to the teachings of the founding principles of that religion, along with the instructions of loving one another.

The Law of One

When we speak of the One Life, this is not merely a poetic phrase or symbol. It refers to the fact that we are all essentially that one same Life, as expressed in the diversity of form that constitutes our being on many levels (cellular and spiritual.)

Because of our interconnectedness, every action (or lack thereof) has an effect on every other aspect of nature. Like a pebble, thrown into a body of water, our actions ripple out, beyond the spheres of our immediate influence.

When considered at a deeper level, Universal Brotherhood may be understood as being at the heart of humanity, because of how practical it is to us in all aspects of our lives, not only as individuals but also collectively, as humankind.

Despite teachings in the consciousness of humanity spanning back to what is known as the very cradle of civilization, as we look around the world today, we see constant violations of the principles of Brotherhood.

Sadly, the very basic truth that led to Arjuna’s decision of the battlefield to cease war when he realized that he could not harm another without harming himself is still valid.

As we consider everything that is happening in the world today, it is easy to see that Unity and Brotherhood is not the guiding focus of how we, as citizens of planet earth, interact with one another.

However, I would like us to take a moment to consider how the world could be if we allow this vital principle to effect policies and politics. As we do this, let us imagine how treating one another with an awareness of Oneness would change the world.

Why Karma Is Involved In Brotherhood

Within the profound principle of Brotherhood and Unity is an essential mystery of how the Law of Karma works.

The Law of Karma is often misunderstood because it is a force that expands beyond the perspective of individual life experience into the guidance of the purpose of your Soul to learn essential lessons that are incorporated into your consciousness at the level of your eternal or Soul consciousness.

The timeless and eternal aspect of life, as an adventure created to enable you to learn the lessons of Love and the lessons of right human relationships, make learning about Brotherhood and understanding the Oneness of Humanity essential.

It is the Law of Karma, over the vast expanse of time that proves the adage that, “you cannot harm another without harming yourself.” Karma can be simply stated as, “you get the lesson until you learn the lesson.”

I believe this is throughout eternity and exceeds your life experience which makes it difficult to see and to understand from a personality individual life experience which is limited to identifying with your current personality and ego. That stated, this does not mean the Law of Karma is not real, but that it operates beyond the scope of our current individuated understanding.

Karma answers the question so many of us have about why certain things and situations occur in life that may not make sense and seem beyond our control as the guiding principle of Karma is to give the lesson to the eternal consciousness that you ultimately are, until you learn the lesson. This is true, not only for you but for everyone with whom you interact and relate throughout your life.

You may want to be conscious of your thoughts and words, so they don’t create negative karma by your actions.

This blessing is offered in every country of the world, in the words of every culture. Each hour as it becomes five p.m. local time, the whole world joins in the effort to support and empower those who are working for the common good of the human family.

As this blessing goes around the world it is a demonstration and a viable manifestation of one world and one humanity’s consciousness that can bring us closer to the long-desired realization of brotherhood and unity.

You Can Make A Difference

I encourage you and invite you to join with your thoughts, your prayers, and your intentions in participating in this world-wide blessing that focusses on bringing the force of unity to manifestation for the greatest good of all.

I invite you to consider, in your actions and in your speech the principle of harmlessness.

I ask you to be an agent of goodwill in the world, demonstrating in your life and relationships, as well as where you can, the principles of brotherhood and sisterhood, harmlessness, and right speech as the underpinnings of right relationships in the world. In so doing you will be advancing the evolution of our collective consciousness.

Emerge, through the darkness of malice, into the bright light of Brotherhood that awaits you at the end of the tunnel. For indeed, it is often in times of greatest trial that the fires of nobility and virtue are kindled in the heart of humanity.

It falls to all of us – both as individuals and as a community – to work towards the achievement of this noble end. Transformation on an inner level will eventually result in transformation on a grander scale – and thus, As Above, So Below, As Within, So Without, as the Hermetic axiom goes. And this transformation may begin today, through the cultivation of the virtues of compassion, tolerance, and universal brotherhood.

Revolutionary Simple Acts of Kindness

What if every day you practiced a simple act of kindness?

How would it change your life? How might it change you?

Kindness is contagious. Kindness stirs compassion in your heart and stimulates loving sensations. Kindness can have far-reaching implications.

Today, I am suggesting an experiment to demonstrate the power of Light over darkness, Love over hate and Kindness over cruelty.

Today, I am suggesting that you make the conscious choice to make this world a better place by the deliberate practice of service.

Today, I am inviting you to join a worldwide experiment with kindness.

People everywhere are struggling with fear in the world as threats of nuclear annihilation fill the news airways. It is common to feel powerless and frustrated as these issues are outside of your sphere of influence.

You cannot change the behavior of world leaders. I believe you can, however, change your behavior and your life in a way that will make a difference.

I am suggesting that you experiment with a simple act of kindness.

I am suggesting that you choose to bring kindness into the world and then, I am inviting you to observe how powerful you are as you bring about changes in the world around you.

I invite you to share your observations about the difference kindness makes.

I encourage you to become an agent of transformation in the world through your simple acts of kindness. I urge you to watch and observe the effect of your kindness has on the world around you. I charge you to find the effect your kindness has in your own life.

I am encouraging you to spread your kindness in the world by consciously doing or saying something that is kind to someone else who you know only casually.

It may be a kind and encouraging comment on Social Media. It has to be sincere, but it can be concise. It can be a casual compliment to a stranger on the street. It need not take more than a few seconds of time.

When you act with kindness, each time you do something kind, stop for a second and take a deep breath. You might want to visualize that the energy that stimulated your act of kindness is going out from your heart to the world as a whole. You could imagine the kindness starting a wave of love and compassion that will stimulate others to be kind.

When you offer your act of kindness, imagine your Light traveling out to touch the life of another to in some unknown way make their life better. Your moment of thought and compassion sets a dynamic force in motion, in you, and toward the other person.

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.

Then, pay attention to how you feel. Notice how your random acts of kindness are affecting your mood and your sense of well-being. Observe its impact on any stress in your life.

This simple act of kindness aligns you with your Higher Self (your Soul). It is an act of service that energetically connects you with the men and women of goodwill all around the world.

It can become a meditative act because by aligning with your higher self, and the forces of goodness, love, and compassion you are choosing to be a force for good on the planet. You are building and creating Right Relations.

My hypothesis that I am suggesting with this experiment is to prove that by your kindness you are increasing your sense of personal happiness. You are healing the pain of separateness and alienation that is so much a part of our modern world and society.

Of course, treating your loved ones, friends and family with kindness is always recommended, however; the experiment I am suggesting is to practice kindness to those with whom you have no or only a loose association.

I am suggesting that you try this experiment between now and the end of the month. If you choose to participate in this little experiment, I would like to invite you to join my Consciousness Community and share your experiences with this experiment in the comments below.

By engaging in simple acts of kindness, you are taking power to transform your world into your own hands. You are being and becoming an active force for good. You are an agent of Light.

With each kind comment, you make and each kind gesture you perform, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, you are making a revolutionary difference in your own life, in your community, in your world, to serve Love.

When you are open to Love, and when you demonstrate it in acts of kindness, compassion fills your heart.

When you look at others through the eyes of compassion, their faults and their failures become less annoying and most significantly less disruptive to your sense of peace and personal happiness.

When you consider what act of kindness you can share with someone, you are activating in your heart and mind the transforming power of love and compassion. Kindness is a way that in an authentic and tangible sense you are receiving by giving.

One of the most beneficial and empowering parts of practicing kindness is that by doing so, you strengthen and refine your ability to Love unconditionally. You are empowering your ability to understand one another and forgive the foibles and failures of humanity.

And, also by being kind to others, you activate kindness and compassion for yourself. Being kind and compassion to yourself, being patient and forgiving of your faults can have a life-transforming advantage.

It is in this which the simple acts of kindness can serve to not only make the world a better place but also make your life more successful and happy.

Together we have the power to make life a little easier for others, and by doing so, for ourselves. There is no cost to kindness. There is no harm in compassion. It is free and freely given.

So, I ask you to try a simple act of kindness. Like the old bumper sticker used to say “Practice random acts of kindness.” You never know when your kindness can provide hope, comfort, and strength to someone who has lost their way.

Let your kindness be a living example of Love in action. Let your kindness be a demonstration of your gratitude and faithfulness. Spread your Light with Love and kindness wherever you go as an act of service and support of others.

Dare To Be of Service To The World

To dare to be the amazing being that you are, aware of all that you were created to be takes courage.

You are a spark of Divine Light created in the image of a God of Love. This is amazing. This gives you unlimited possibilities.

The power of standing forth as a being of dynamic grace is often misunderstood.

Standing in your Spiritual Light and your Spiritual power is a blessing to the world.

The world may fail to appreciate or understand the radiance that is you. This is a burden that has long been shared by those who have strived to demonstrate God’s Love and God’s grace through their lives. The challenge to be true to yourself and true to your purpose in life is an awesome spiritual journey. It may not be the easy path but it leads to fulfillment and great joy.

To be true to yourself, true to your purpose in life may sometimes be a lonely path. As a beacon of Light, you stand out in the world. As one who loves and serves others, you may at times feel vulnerable and different. You may be misunderstood. People may take advantage of your kindness. You may be called upon to forgive much that seems unforgivable. This has been true for those who have come before you and will most likely be true for those who are guided by your life. The path of service may not be an easy path.

At times, you may feel alone. It may help you to know that you are not alone. Thankfully, there are across the world, others who have opened to their Divine Light and Divine nature. When you join the Light of your Soul with theirs and join your service with them, you can become a dynamic force for good and change in the world. Know that joining with others empowers you. Your Light and your purpose are magnified.

It only takes a moment of looking around for you to see the need for Love to redeem the world and for Soul Light to infuse the hearts and minds of humanity. As easy as it is for you to see, so it is for others, who like you walk the earth for the higher purpose of helping and serving mankind. To be a beacon of Love in the world is a high calling. One you honor by standing firm in your purpose.

The Bible and the spiritual writings since the dawn of time have recorded the stories of men and woman who have demonstrated and surrendered to God’s Will to serve as instruments of God’s Love and Grace for his creation. The work of bringing humanity into right relationship with God has gone on since the dawn of time and continues today. The need for right relations remains of vital importance today.

To join humanity in bringing right relationship with God you must dare to let the Light of your Soul shine forth. A light hidden under a bushel cannot dispel the darkness. Yet it is important to remember that a single candle can dispel the darkness. Light is by its very nature always more powerful than the darkness. As you share your Light you serve the greater good.

The calling of your Soul to be of service to your fellow man identifies you. The way of service is not the way of the world but it is the portal to spiritual wisdom. It is the way to let your Light shine out for the entire world to see.

To listen to the promptings of your Soul is fulfilling your life’s purpose by bringing your love and Light to your fellow man. This is also a portal to true joy and fulfillment.

There is comfort in knowing that you are not alone. When you join with others to deliver God’s Love and demonstrate God’s grace you can magnify the radiance and be of support to one another. Joining together in spiritual community with purpose is empowering for everyone.

Your power to influence the world and to make the world a better place is enhanced and magnified when you join with others in groups. Ponder on this!

To stand forth in prayer and meditation is a way of being the change you wish to see in the world. You can, through prayer or meditation, imagine your Soul connected in the living Light with all who are a part of what is known in the Ageless Wisdom as the New Group of World Servers. You can join with the efforts of the many who work for good in the world.

It is through service to others that you can best demonstrate your love. It is in service to others that God’s love becomes a tangible and living thing.

Your Light is a service to the world. A service you can enhance by consciously joining with the efforts of others like you.

You can join with others in service; your intention is sufficient to connect your light with their Light.

In a spiritual life, service is a portal to true joy. Helping others is a labor of love. When through your life you are able to be a blessing to others you further open the doors to receive greater blessings and greater joy in your own life.

Your personal happiness and success are enhanced when you respond to the calling of your Soul. To those who know their purpose to be emissaries of God’s Love and Light there is a gratification that is felt as an expansion of the Love and Light deep within your heart. Amazingly, this expansion of Love and Light is its own reward.

To focus your meditations on the purpose of serving your fellow man I will share one of my very favorite affirmations with you. This mantram can be used to help you declare your intention and join you energetically with others.

It is especially powerful when said together in a group meditation. When you say this affirmation in meditation and with intention you will be a dynamic part in the service to your fellow man.

Voicing this discipleship affirmation you are joined with others who also work for good in the world. As one of my favorite mantrams I use it regularly in my own personal meditations. I love the power of the assertion of purpose in the words “And thus we stand.” It helps me remember that I am not alone and yet focuses my intention toward service. I hope you find it a blessing in your life.

Say with your whole heart as a Soul the following ancient mantram:

             Affirmation of Service

We are the points of Light within the greater Light.

We are strands of loving energy within the stream of Love Divine.

We are sparks of sacrificial fire, focused within the fiery Will of God.

               And thus we stand.

We are ways by which all may achieve.

We are a source of strength enabling them to stand.

We are beams of Light shining upon their way.

               And thus we stand.

We are radiating centers of Joy, Serenity and Quiet Mind.

               And thus we stand.

And standing thus revolve

And tread this way, the way of men

You Are Not Powerless

In the next hundred days there will be a time of choosing and a time of committing to where we stand.

Here, in the United States of America events and circumstances have come together that require that Americans and citizens of all nations must take the time to consider who they are as a country, who we are as a people, and most significantly where we stand.

Right now, in the next hundred days of a new administration in our government, we the people have some important decisions to make.

Decisions will determine whether this grand experiment in people living with the dynamic concept that all are endowed by their Creator with unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness is a truth that will as it has so often in the past allowed the United States of America to be a light out to the world, or whether we will slip into the annals of history as a failed experiment in right human relations.

The founding of our great country was not a casual or happenstance thing. Our founding fathers knew that human nature was often flawed. They carefully and consciously built in structures in their emerging experiment in consciousness, here in a new land on a new continent as they carefully constructed checks and balances to protect the people from the failures of government, which most of the founding fathers were very suspicious of.

They knew well that to live in a country that has these freedoms requires a level of consciousness and responsibility of the citizens to continuously protect and defend not only the constitution but the principles upon which it was founded. Perhaps, they foresaw that this moment would someday come to the people and country they could only dare to dream of over 200 years ago as they structured this great republic into being.

They well knew that to maintain and nurture this new form of government would take vigilance and could require that the people take a stand for what they believe. For this, they incorporated the rights of peaceful assembly. However, in that right is not the right for violence. We do not have the right for anarchy or wanton destruction. But an integral part of the American experience, a right of free speech and assembly were consciously built into the American experiment of a republic.

Peaceful Resistance and Non-Violence

Those who have taken a stand against tyranny in our country and even in the world, have passed to us a legacy of what works, and a clear message of what does not work.

Peaceful resistance and non-violence are the only tools that work. The very moment you stray from those standards and use violence and civil disobedience you have handed the power over to the forces of tyranny and evil.

As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. preached in the 1960s in a previous time that our country had a call of conscious of what we choose to be as a culture and a people in this great American experiment in human relationships, “only love can conquer hate.” Hate and anger are the portals to, as Star Wars guru Yoda said, “the dark side.”

Ponder on this affirmation:

THE LAW OF ONE

We are all one.

When one is harmed, all are harmed. When one is helped, all are healed.

Therefore, in the name of who I AM, and I AM ONE with all; I ask that ONLY THAT WHICH IS THE HIGHEST GOOD OF ALL CONCERNED happen here and now and through all time and space.

I give thanks that this is done. SO BE IT!

So, as I consider the actions of the recent American events and find the news of the people taking to the streets to take a stand for the kind of America we choose to be, I call upon the leaders of all of these movements and I call upon each person who is moved to take a stand, to remember the life and the teachings of India’s protest leader Mahatma Gandhi. He reminded all of us that we must, “be the change we want to see in the world.”

The course of human events has converged upon “we the people” for us to once again decide what we believe, who we wish to be as a people. Much has happened in the 240+ years since the U.S. founding fathers migrated to America and made their stand against tyranny and inequality. Their intent was to form a more perfect union. To that, they pledged their lives, fortunes, and their sacred honor.

Much that is wonderful, great and good has happened and been created in the intervening years of human history. Much that is wonderful has been set up on the structure of freedom and liberty that they created. Greed, separateness, and selfishness remain as parts of human nature against which we must stand vigilant.

That vigilance has slipped in the recent past. The cry for change that this recent election spoke to is a sign that people do not wish to be governed by a swamp of selfishness and greed. The only way this great republic can work and has ever worked is by vigilance and taking a stand for right action and right human relationships.

Hold Our Leaders, Legislators,
and News Media Accountable

We the people have let our complacency slip. We have failed to use those precious freedoms and rights our forefathers built into our system to hold our elected officials accountable. We have not stood firm for the abuses of power that have raised their ugly head when the laws of abuse were passed. We have failed to hold those elected officials to those long-ago pledges of life, fortunes, and sacred honor that the American founding fathers pledged. Rather, we have stood by and permitted personal fortunes to be often enhanced shamelessly at the behest of special interests.

Now it is important to hold our leaders and legislators accountable. This is important as we re-examine the principles that are essential to truth and justice. Liberty and freedom are compromised when lies and illusion invade the body politics. Dangerous and destructive elements entered our society when news media failed to require truth. The problem became compounded by the regurgitating of what was promoted as alternative facts which were often fantasies that promoted conspiracy theories. These are tools that have long been used by tyranny to rob citizens of liberty, justice, and equality.

The American way was once defined as truth and justice. We need to find our way back to that for those are qualities upon which our American Constitution relies.

Most egregiously, we have permitted our representatives to place into law a privilege of certain benefits for them as legislators that are not shared with the people they represent. I can with confidence say that I am sure that was never even a consideration of a possibility of those men of honor that envisioned a represented republic.

We Are Not Powerless

It is that sense of powerlessness that I would like to touch on in this missive to you, my fellow human beings, my brothers and sisters in the quest for right human relationship.

You are not powerless. You are endowed by your creator with inalienable rights. No one can take that from you. However, you and you alone can claim that power.

You must decide who you are as a human being, what you believe, what is right and what is wrong.

Living as a free people involves responsibility, a responsibility well understood by those who crafted the United States Constitution as a living document that requires the participation and vigilance of the governed.

I am reminded that right after the Constitutional Congress Benjamin Franklin said, “we have given you a republic if you can keep it.”

Now, in this next hundred days I call upon all of you, to take this opportunity in the course of human events to consider what you stand for, what you believe, what you feel deep in your heart and deep in the promptings of your Soul to consider what is right and then commit to taking a stand. We have certain rights. We must use them.

Thankfully many of us have been given the power of the ballot box. We must continue to use it or we will loose it.

Some nations have given us the right of free speech. We must make our voices heard.

In the United States, we have been given the power of an unfettered press. We must call upon the men and women of that pillar of our democracy to also take a stand for truth and honor.

We are not powerless. Now is the time for each of us to consider and then stand up for what has long been the vision of America, truth, honor and justice. It is the time for us to consider and then stand for what we truly believe. There is power in unity with your fellow man.

God (however you believe and conceive God to be), please bless the United States of America at this time of transition and awakening.

The Festival of Humanity

– World Invocation Day

There are Three Spiritual Festivals that are celebrated in the consciousness calendar every year.

The Three Festivals are aligned with and follow the lunar and astrological phenomena of the rotation of the planets and the stars. They are observed through the cycle of the Moon as it navigates through the stars constellations.

The observation of these energetic cycles is very archetypal and ancient indeed. In fact, the Church fathers used the influx of these energies in guiding the Church calendar when they determined that the celebration of Easter fell in the alignment of this energetic cosmic cycle in the first century. The date of Easter is always celebrated on the First Sunday following the Full Moon in the astrological sign of Aries.

The very first in the cycle of the Three Spiritual Festivals is aligned with the ongoing work of the Christ in the world since His miracle of resurrection and accession to the Father. These events are deep mysteries that have influenced humanity energetically in ways that transcend belief, faith, and human understanding.

The ways of God in His ongoing attempt to bring humanity into right relationship with Him are mysterious. Although theologians and religion have a long tradition of creating a dogma that they require the faithful to espouse, the ways of the Divine are more wondrous and miraculous than is understood by most human consciousness at this time.

The cosmic nature of God and His relationship with humanity is one of the great mysteries of human existence.

For all that mankind thinks that it knows, and understands is the confrontation that there is much that we do not know. Within the human experience, there is a bond that exists between the human heart and Soul and the glorious Presence of the Divine, a bond of Love that can be experienced but never adequately explained.

This bond is found in a relationship; a relationship that exists between the Creator and the created. That relationship has often been described, with such mysterious and lofty words as Grace or the Peace that passes understanding. The very statement that this relationship is beyond human understanding opens your heart and mind to an attitude of an “I-Thou” relationship that relies upon communion and revelation from God into the deepest spark of Divinity within you, your Soul.

The Festival of the Resurrection

“I come forth and from the plane of mind, I rule.”

The first is known as the Festival of the Resurrection. This festival occurs right before Easter and is a celebration of the resurrection. The keynote is Love.

The Wesak Festival

“I see, and when the eye is opened, all is light.”

The second is the Wesak Festival. It is held at the Taurus Full Moon. The keynotes are wisdom & divine purpose.

Wesak is celebrated around the world and focuses upon the blending of the Wisdom of the Buddha and the Divine Love of the Christ blending and merging the energies of Love and Wisdom for humanity.

The Festival of Humanity

“I recognize my other self and in the waning of that self, I grow and glow.”

The final celebration is at the Gemini Full Moon and is called the Festival of Humanity. The keynote is Humanity, aspiring to God.

At this time and in the three days preceding and following the actual peak of the Full Moon, humanity receives the guidance and impressions of the prior full moon activations of the Christ’s resurrection energies, and the blessings of the Christ and Buddha’s blending of Love with Wisdom.

The Festival of Humanity (also known as the Festival of Goodwill) is a cosmic celebration of the dispersing of these energies to humanity as a whole. This is sometimes also called the Festival of the Christ because the Ageless Wisdom tell us that the Christ in His ongoing role of World Savior sends forth to all His disciples on earth the energies they need to propel humanity throughout the next year to make the world a better place.

This blessing is mystical and yet emerges into the consciousness of all those faithful who are aligned with the Christ throughout the world, through the communion of the church and throughout the efforts of the Men and Woman of Goodwill known as the New Group of World Servers.

The empowerment of those who serve humanity with dedication are demonstrated through self-forgetfulness; harmlessness and right speech, for these, are the characteristics of a member of the New Group of World Servers.

At the time of the Festival of Humanity (World Invocation Day), the Hierarchy will, under the guidance of the Christ, let loose the will-to-good upon Humanity, producing seven great results:

7 Great Results

Power will be given to the disciples of the world and the initiates among humanity so that They can direct efficiently and wisely the coming process of rebuilding.

The will-to-love will stimulate the men and women of goodwill everywhere so that hatred will gradually be overcome and humanity will seek to live together cooperatively.

The will-to-action will lead intelligent people throughout the world to inaugurate those activities which will lay the foundation for a new, better and happier world.

The will-to-cooperate will steadily increase also. Men and women will desire and demand right human relations.

The will-to-know and to think correctly and creatively will become an outstanding characteristic of the masses. Knowledge is the first step towards wisdom.

The will-to-persist (which is an aspect of devotion and fixed idealism) will become a human characteristic – a sublimation of the basic instinct of self-preservation.

The will-to-organize will further a building process which will be carried forward under the direct inspiration of the Hierarchy. The medium will be the potency of the will-to-good of the New Group of World Servers and the responsive goodwill of humankind.

To be a part of this service and work requires no dogma or belief, rather the heartfelt desire of service to humanity to make this world a better place.

At five p.m. across the world in every time zone, so this prayer chain circumnavigates the world every day, is a blessing that energetically supports this work and service.

I invite you to pause and take a moment to help empower humanity to make the transitions of consciousness that are unique to this moment in time and space. By saying the blessing below daily, you will strengthen and empower those who work to transform the world.

May the Power of the One Life
pour through the group of all true servers;

May the Love of the One Soul
characterize the lives of all who
seek to aid the Great Ones.

May we fulfill our part in the One Work
through self-forgetfulness, harmlessness,

At five p.m. every day going forward, wherever you are, let us join our Soul Light with Love to the millions of those across the world who work to help humanity.

One of the amazing aspects of being a part of a Soul group is that you need not even be consciously aware of the group. You, if you focus on love, light and service to humanity, are a part of this worldwide effort and the blessings invoked around the world by those conscious of this effort are available to you to support and empower your work and service.

At no other time in the year is the energy more powerfully available than at this Full Moon when the Festival of Humanity is celebrated in the heavens and on earth.

At this propitious period, take a little time to ponder on this and be receptive as you sit quietly and calm your mind, open your heart and invite the light.

The Community of Brotherhood

Meditating with others in a group has the benefit of a community that enhances the power and experience for every member of the group.

The word “community” derives from the Old French comuneté which comes from the Latin communitas (from Latin communis, things held in common).

In the forming of a group for a spiritual purpose, something special takes place that expands the awareness of every person gathered together. This brotherhood of humankind leads to an expansion of consciousness and awareness that is greater than what anyone individual can touch. This energy has a mystical influence that may not be consciously in your awareness but impacts your experience.

This influence is especially true when you meditate or pray in groups. It becomes dynamically true when you and the group share a common purpose and a unified intention.

The group experience is further exalted when your purpose is to help others. One of the most potent and intense group experiences is when your goal is to provide healing.

The mystical, almost magical aspects of this coming together have long been promised by the Christ when he said, “Whenever two or more are gathered in my name I am with them.” This power of the Presence of the Christ is an energetic connection that has far-reaching implications especially when the purpose of the coming together is for the purpose of healing, spiritual support, and community.

Prayers that bring the group together, especially when the purpose is for service to others are, empower and enhanced. Meditating together as a group augments and enriches the experience of everyone who joins their hearts, minds, and Souls together.

When the intention is for coming together for service, your Soul is ignited. With the invocation and clarity of purpose, a dynamic new Presence can often be sensed, that of a group Soul, or the Soul of the group. Energetic connecting of Souls empowers and enhances the effectiveness of groups.

When a group of Souls joins for a unified purpose, miracles can happen. Your Soul and the Souls of those who have gathered are manifesting a unity that is already real in the realm of the Soul. The conscious choice to join your human efforts and experiences become a manifestation of the ancient awareness, “As above, so below.”

The realm in which your Soul resides is also the realm of Angels. By joining your human lives together in a unified purpose, especially when you are joined for service and healing, you and those who have joined with you activate not only your Soul group but also the Angels who are also aligned with your higher purpose. You can further empower your group meditative experience and healings by consciously inviting the Presence of Angels and invoking their help.

When engaged in group healing there is a natural and spontaneous merging of meditation, prayer, and invocation. Connecting with healing Angels also facilitates alignment with Divine Will.

Within the unity and support of the group consciousness, the detachment required is enhanced. Ponder on this.

This union of a human group, a Soul group, and the Angels is powerful beyond human imaginings. In that union the consideration of the highest good of all is automatic. By so joining with this merging of purpose any considerations of Divine Will are automatic, and those individuals who are in the group find their individual Will is also aligned as attachments can be released in the awareness of Soul Union.

You can work more effectively in your groups and your community by consciously joining your energies together at the highest level. The group purpose and intention of working together are powerful. Coming together for a clearly stated objective automatically empowers the subtle energies available to enhance your success.

I have also found that having a purpose that is beyond you, especially when that purpose focuses on healing or helping another exponentially, increases the result. What is miraculous about joining for a unified purpose is that your energy and intention enable you to transcend the limitations of both space and time to have an impact and influence that is greater than you can have as an individual.

I encourage you to join your life and human efforts with groups of like-minded individuals who share your vision of life problems that cry out for a solution, help with physical healing and global issues such as peace.

Choosing to work together for service, choosing to pray and meditate together, all expand your awareness and understanding of this life-enhancing experience.

The only criteria required to join this group is to join with the purpose and intention to make the world a better place. It is created by and composed of Men and Women of Goodwill. You are already a member of this group if you are aligned with its purpose and intention. This meditation was created for that group.

Although the Ageless Wisdom indicates that this planetary work and service is under the direction of the Christ, no dogma or belief is required. All faiths are welcomed. Within the focus of Goodwill and service to your fellow man, there is only harmony.

I invite you to enjoy the increased sense of joy and purpose that working in groups can bring to your life, and join with others of Goodwill with your Heart, your mind, and your Soul.

A Celebration of Unity

Wherever we are on planet earth, we are all touched by the same Sun.

Moreover, when that sunlight fades away we are all caressed by the same moonlight.

We are One humanity and no matter how isolated or separate we may feel at times, this common experience of life unifies us in a mystical way.

An old spiritual teacher of mine used to always tell me that, “we are more alike than different.” If you take a moment to think about it, you will realize it is true.

It doesn’t matter whether you live in the very highest reaches of the Himalayas, or walk on the sands of the furthest shore, the experience of human life is a common denominator that works toward understanding and unity.

There are of course many differences in each of us that depend upon many unique factors, yet, interwoven with all the things that seem to separate and divide us, there is also an inescapable unity of consciousness.

Understanding Unity

This morning as I meditate upon and consider what message and teaching are important today, it is to enhance an understanding of this unity.

Ponder on and celebrate this, and know that awareness of the Oneness can create an important shift in your consciousness.

THE LAW OF ONE

We are all one.

When one is harmed, all are harmed.
When one is helped, all are healed.

Therefore, in the name of who I AM,
and I AM ONE with all;
I ask that ONLY THAT WHICH IS THE HIGHEST GOOD OF ALL
CONCERNED happen here and now and through all time and space.

I give thanks that this is done.

The human experience is defined by common needs and common desires. Once the most basic of your survival needs, such as food, water, and shelter are met, the need for safety and security emerge. This may bring you to a longing for peace. In this, you are not alone. The desire for peace is a unifying factor of unity that we can celebrate. The desire for peace is expressed throughout the world.

There is among all of humankind, a brotherhood. We share the same sun. We are pulled by the same gravity when we climb. The same stars sparkle in our sky, and we dream under the same moon. We all long for love. We all hope and dream.

Also, we are all created with a spark of Divinity within us that is beyond the name we use to describe the Divine. This unity, this oneness of the human family and the human experience, transcends all of the seeming differences and diversities of life.

Is It Us Versus Them?

As I consider all of the sorrow and sufferings that are created by the illusion of separateness, I find my eyes overflowing with tears. The unspeakable horror of war builds its justification on this illusion of separateness.

The whole mentality of dividing the world into the categories of us versus them, somehow serves to excuse doing to others things that deep in the inner reaches of the human heart go against the instinctual sense of Right Action, and Goodness.

At its core, it violates the teachings of the Golden Rule, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

Wherever I have traveled in the amazing world in which we live, and I have traveled both far and wide in my life, I have found in my conversations with people longing for peace, a desire for peace and an inescapable sense of accord. This shows me there are harmony and similarity of values and needs between us.

This cannot help but make me wonder if all people everywhere desire and value peace, why the cessation of war seems to be just a brief pause before the next war begins?

It seems that the politicians and world leaders know that their people desire peace, so they have come up with new ways to confuse situations by no longer calling it a war, instead they use words like conflict, action, or other synonyms for war, as peace is broken.

But no matter how the spin doctors spin things, and no matter the meaning of the different flags that get draped over the coffins of the dead, war creates appalling horror to all who are engaged in it.

To quote a popular protest poster of the 1960s in the United States,

War is not healthy for children or other living things.

This is the rallying call of a group called “Another Mother for Peace.”

It seems surprising that in a world where the common human need for safety and security is paramount, the ongoing pattern of wars and rumors of wars exists. Yet, the motivation and indeed the solution to this insanity lie in our understanding of an affirmation of our oneness, our unity.

This is not a new awareness; this is not even a contemporary thought. It is recorded in the Bhagavad Gita that the Pandava prince Arjuna, one of the greatest warriors of legend realized on the battlefield, “I can no longer war against myself.”

The Bhagavad Gita has been a significant part of spiritual literature and teachings since between the 4th and the 5th century B.C.E.

It was Arjuna’s realization of the oneness and unity of all, that stilled his bow. It is in the understanding of, and appreciation of our unity as one humanity, that our hope for peace is empowered.

Invoke Peace To Bring Unity

We know that in our world today there is far too little peace. However, we can pray for peace.

We can invoke peace in our meditations. We can unite our voices with others in invoking and meditating for peace. In this way, we all work to bring about the world we all long for.

Thus, you lend your support to world leaders everywhere to help resolve the conflicts that reinforce the illusion of separateness, which fuels fear and hatred in the world.

The antidote to fear is the truth, and the antidote to hate is Love. It is the principle of truth and the healing power of Love that you can send forth in meditation, to turn away wrath, and to heal the hurts that fuel the desire for vengeance.

You must be the change you wish to see in the world.

There are across the planet, on every continent, in every country, those who work tirelessly for peace and the benefit of humanity. They are men and women who strive to bring the Will of Good into manifestation in the world. They are the men and woman of Goodwill.

This group of Soul’s who may have never met, express their beliefs through their own religion and philosophy, yet they know and understand that there is not a religion greater than the truth, and they know that Love is the greatest law.

Their work is to bring about a better world, to create for all the opportunity to manifest the purpose of their Soul and the overall plan of evolution, the same plan that is contained within the mind of the Creator for all humanity.

Their work and purpose is beyond dogma. It is not necessary to believe in any specific belief to join and support their work for the world.

Their common work is for the common good. Their service is for the greater good of all. Their guiding question is the determination in any situation of “how is love best served?”

How Can I Help Unify the World?

You can join men and women of goodwill in this planetary work and this world service by saying at 5 p.m., wherever you are, The Mantram of the New Group of World Servers.

Breath of Life

One Life, One Love, One Breath

Many teachers of the Spiritual Path teach about Oneness.

In our world of rugged individualism and self-focus this concept of Oneness is foreign and can be a little threatening.

After all, if we are truly all one, if we truly believe that and begin to live that, we would have to change our behavior to others.

Within this paradigm of thought we would not only be compelled to follow the Golden Rule “do unto others as you would have them do unto you” we would realize that in the Oneness that unites us, harming another causes us harm.

This is a vast and profound concept that as we ponder on it, would by logical conclusion transform all our relationships into right human relationships. It would lead us to the conclusion that Arjuna reached on the battlefield as told in the Bhagavad Gita “I can no longer war against myself.” If by some miracle of awareness and enlightenment every human being on earth began to accept and live this concept, the Golden Age of Peace and Prosperity prophets predict would be immediately ushered in, not just for 1,000 years, but forever.

Greed, war, revenge, selfishness, and forces that move so much of our current reality would become unthinkable. Watching anyone, anywhere in the world die of hunger, a virus pandemic or the diseases of contaminated water would be too painful to bear.

If we grasped the truth of Oneness of which the sages and wise men expound, we would realize that not only are we our brother’s keeper but that by helping our brother we are helping ourselves.

This concept is so vast, so outside of our daily experience, that it is easy to dismiss. We think, “How can we be One since I am clearly me and you are clearly you?” It is easy to reject these thoughts, even among spiritually motivated and inclined people. We quickly ascribe these insights to Holy Men or Saints knowing that to live and embody such a truth would bring so much change and transformation to the world that it is beyond our imagination, beyond our ability to even conceptualize.

Recently, while I meditated with some friends on the issues of Goodwill and the Will to Good, embodied in the past Olympic Games, an image came to me that in some small way demonstrates this principle of unity, of oneness. It was a positive image I called One Breath, One Life.

I invite you to experience this image as you just breathe. To experience this, you must join with your thoughts and your imagination the possibility of the oneness of our being linked with all of life on this planet. That link is through the life-yielding breath. Something we can take for granted.

Recently, while I meditated, an image (and meditation) came to me that demonstrates the principle of unity, of oneness. It was a positive image I called One Breath, One Life…

Breathing Oneness Meditation

As you sit and breathe (no more is required of you than that), realize that the air you breathe is the same air that is available to every living being on earth, purified every minute by plants and trees.

As the air enters your lungs, it infuses your blood, your very life force. The molecules, the atoms the very essence of that breath circulates through you, infuses you, sustains you.

When you exhale, those atoms, those molecules are released back into the atmosphere. The carbon dioxide you release is then transformed by plants, maybe as far away as the Amazon or some rainforest. The atoms and molecules that have nourished and sustained you travel on the currents of air to faraway peoples and foreign cultures.

This air, these very atoms, and molecules, are available to other life forms, the plant life of the planet and the animals of the planet. That which has touched you and sustained your life is available to touch them and sustain their life.

As you just sit and breathe in and exhale naturally and effortlessly in this small way we can become aware of the unity of life that exists on this unconscious, pre-conscious level.

Have gratitude and give thanks for the miracle of purified breath and oneness.

As I realized this, pondered on this and imagined this I was filled with a sense of oneness, a sense of connectedness to life that filled me with great peace and with great joy. This is a simple way we can touch this concept through our mind, through our intention, through our heart. If you choose to try this exercise while you are sitting and breathing, make sure you “Calm your Mind, Open your Heart and Invite the Light.”

Pay attention to any thoughts and impressions that may come from your Soul (your Higher Self) and realize that ‘Energy Follows Thought.’ Ponder on this! Your actions or lack of actions can affect others.

In this simple experience you have touched on the unity of life through breath, the oneness of all of life for just these brief moments of time, right here, right now.

Friends On Facebook

An Affirmation of our Oneness

Today I had a somewhat unusual experience on Facebook. I added 6 “friends” on Facebook who were actually real life friends who were well known to me. This led me to thinking about the very popular phenomena of Facebook.

It is significant to reflect upon Facebook today, because of the long awaited IPO release of Facebook stock. In the years since its inception Facebook has become an essential part of any one whose work involves reaching out with a message or teaching.

I must admit, I do not really understand how to use it effectively to advance my work. But I do use it. One of the things I have most enjoyed about Facebook is the opportunity to follow the lives, both the joys and the sorrows of Facebook “friends”.

I love that friends can request prayers for healing for themselves and those they love and spontaneously a network of healing light is created from everywhere around the country. This is for me one of the most enjoyable parts of Facebook that I can join with the group of men and woman of Goodwill to help and support others.

The use of Facebook to share positive and inspiring messages is also powerful and inspiring. Of course there are those who use Facebook for political or at times demeaning and destructive purposes, but at least on my news feed that is a small number of posts compared to the many motivational and uplifting posts I receive every day.

Following friends on Facebook also helps form energetic supports for those I may have met only once or twice, or perhaps never meet at all but are linked to others I know and love.

This network of love and support affirms our unity with one another and helps us recognize our common human experiences. We are all more alike than different.

Our connection to one another energetically works through the principle of energy following thought (a subject on which I write a great deal). It also gives us the network through which our support, encouragement and love can flow.

Most of all by this amazing technology we can track the life experiences of those we previously would have lost from our lives as people move around the planet. People can remain a part of our lives without the regular communication of the telephone. We discover adventures as well as can celebrate accomplishment of those outside of our intimate circle of friends.

This phenomena is a reminder that we are one people, one world, One. This connection that goes across our country and across our oceans is a powerful manifestation of our community and our connection through the human experience of life.

To that end I say Namaste to all of my friends both physical and Facebook friends.

Earth Day – Green Day

There was a time, in the annals of time, when every man, every woman, and every child thought of the Earth as Mother.

She was called “Mother Earth” and mankind was her children. They nourished and cared for her, and through her benevolence, all they needed was provided. Our ancestors lived both on the land and off the land and understood the importance of preserving the balance of resources, taking from the earth only what was needed and taking it only as it was needed.

As we moved away from the land to the cities this close symbiotic relationship lost its relevance to people. Our sense of ourselves as a part of the earth, coming from the earth, and returning to the earth faded in our consciousness. The industrial revolution and the greed and disregard of many industries brought us to abuses of our planet unimaginable throughout the history of man. Species, once abundant began to slowly disappear. Voices from the wilderness of science began to issue dire warnings of the dangers of ignoring the many blessings of “Mother Earth” and abusing the gifts so freely and richly shared with her children.

Carelessly, selfishly, starting from the industrial revolution up to the second half of the twentieth-century man used the vast resources of the earth thinking only of the fastest way or cheapest way to get what we wanted or needed. Earth was no longer seen as the benevolent Mother, but as a resource to be commanded by our ever exploding need to consume. There was no thought to the harm it was creating. Carelessness, profit, and greed were sufficient to bring us to a tipping point. The voices crying out warnings finally began to be heard.

Since spring of 1970, people began to look at different ways our needs could be met. Recycling programs, carbon footprints, green industries have swept across the planet in a unified desire to fulfill our wants and needs in ways more in keeping with the principles of harmlessness.

What is most exciting about the vast education and awareness that Earth Day symbolizes is the profound understanding of people across all nations of our need to come together in a human family that transcends borders in our unity.”

Our need to work together for one unified purpose and one unified goal has galvanized us in the common protection of our Mother, the Earth.

Earth Day as an international observance and international purpose, with an international intention, affirms our oneness, our unity and our common good. All around the world on Earth Day celebrations that unite our human family, children of mother Earth will gain strength and power, and create the united thought forms of healing for the planet; new, healthier and better ways to meet the needs of people with greater attention to harmlessness.

This power of unified intention and unified purpose brings us closer together every day and helps us heal this beautiful planet so it can better sustain life and opportunity for all who dwell here.

So please remember: Earth Day isn’t a one day event, it’s an every day event.

Let’s come together and be encouraged and empowered to take an active part at work and home, through using allocated receptacles for recyclable waste, and being mindful to better reuse, donate and create, rather than waste in the spirit of a greener planet.

On the 50th anniversary of the first Earth Day, take a look at how the celebration—and the planet—have changed.

Earth Day was first celebrated on April 22, 1970, was the brainchild of the late Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson and was celebrated by participants in two thousand colleges and universities, roughly ten thousand primary and secondary schools, and hundreds of communities across the United States. More importantly, it brought 20 million Americans out into the spring sunshine for peaceful demonstrations in favor of environmental reform.

Google has celebrated Earth day with many animated Doodle’s on its home page.

Earth Day 2015 included a cleanup of the Great Wall of China, beach-litter removal in Lebanon and an attempt to protect 25,000 acres of rain forest in Indonesia.

What is the Earth Day 2020 theme?

Despite that amazing success and decades of environmental progress, we find ourselves facing an even more dire, almost existential, set of global environmental challenges, from loss of biodiversity to climate change to plastic pollution, that call for action at all levels of government. – Denis Hayes, Earth Day Network’s Board Chair Emeritus

The theme for Earth Day 2020 is climate action. The enormous challenges – but also the vast opportunities – of acting on climate change have distinguished the issue as the most pressing topic for the 50th anniversary year. At the end of 2020, nations will be expected to increase their national commitments to the 2015 Paris Agreement on climate change, so the time is now for citizens to call for greater global ambition to tackle our climate crisis.

Climate change represents the biggest challenge to the future of humanity and the life-support systems that make our world habitable. Unless every country in the world steps up – and steps up with urgency and ambition – we are consigning current and future generations to a dangerous future.

Earth Day 2020 will be far more than a day. It must be a historic moment when citizens of the world rise up in a united call for the creativity, innovation, ambition, and bravery that we need to meet our climate crisis and seize the enormous opportunities of a zero-carbon future.

Earth Day Meditation

To celebrate Earth Day, take a meditation pause to tune into the loving and abundant Presence of Mother Earth, who is often known as Gaia. She is a part of the Divine Mother, the Divine Feminine, and a part of the Creator nature of God.

Calm your mind, open your heart and invite the Light as you invoke the Presence of Mother Earth.

Take a deep breath, filling your lungs with air, which is always abundantly available to you to satisfy your need in exactly the measure of your need.

Appreciate the miracle that what you need is freely available without effort or toil, a generous blessing from Mother Earth to provide for life spontaneously without restrictions. Give thanks for this blessing.

Then consider all of the amazing beauty that surrounds you that is teeming with life. Appreciate and enjoy the vast array and diversity that fills this world. Take this moment to express your gratitude for the miracle of life that has been so generously granted to you.

Pause and for the next three minutes think of as many wonderful and amazing things there are here on earth that you can appreciate. Then give thanks to the creator and earth mother for this myriad of blessings and miracles that are so unreservedly available.

To honor earth day, open your mind and your intuition to receive from your Higher Self any ideas and impression of how you can serve this world and your fellow man to help maintain and sustain these many blessings that have been provided so freely to provide for your needs in life.

This gift of life has been generously given to you. Celebrate that gift and show your gratitude in the little ways that you can help.

Walk gently on the earth. Be conscious and considerate. Even little efforts can have positive results. This earth is your home. Honor it and cherish it.

More and more people are intuitively drawn to working in groups. The enhanced power of working in a group attracts us. As we form groups and begin to work out how to work together, we realize that we must create new ways of supporting one another and communicating with one another. Old paradigms of competition must be replaced by new paradigms of mutual support and cooperation.
